Most organizations don't suffer from a lack of vision. The best ideas often get stalled because of complicated logistics and the lack of bandwidth of teams already working beyond their limits.
I am not someone who will provide you with a set of recommendations and leave. I will roll up my sleeves, figure out the how, and provide the necessary expertise and capacity to make sure the work gets done.
Getting projects moving. I specialize in overseeing large-scale, multidisciplinary projects. I manage the budgets, the timelines, compliance requirements, and the pivots, so your time and resources can be directed toward the highest-value outcomes.
Building programs that work. I don't believe in over-complicating things. Have a rough sketch of a new service? I’ll help you figure out the partners, the logistics, and the workflows to get it off the ground and running smoothly - with long-term sustainability in mind.
A steady hand during transitions. If you're between hires or looking to grow, I can step in to keep things moving without the long-term commitment of a full-time staff person. I am experienced in developing structures and policies to support new and evolving teams.
The "We Need a Plan, Fast" Project: Got a new or stalled project that should have wrapped up yesterday? I’ll build the workflows and systems to help you get it done.
The Organized Chaos: I love digging into the weeds to improve how your team works, leaving you with an internal system that makes sense and supports long-term growth.
The Leadership Gap: If a key team member has moved on, I can keep the seat warm make sure the day-to-day operations run smoothly during your search.
Recent Projects:
Designed procurement strategies to right-size statewide early childhood offerings, balancing resource constraints with demand. Provided the client with best practices, action steps, and implementation tools.
Developed and implemented project management infrastructure to clarify roles and responsibilities, streamline workflows, increase accountability, and establish onboarding protocols for a team in transition.
Served as a fractional Chief of Staff, leading initiatives to increase staff capacity and performance, implement new project management systems, and develop staffing plans aligned to revenue goals.
Provided subject matter expertise to inform the design and implementation of a federal program performance evaluation.
With 20 years of experience in the public sector, I’ve learned that the best strategies are only as good as their implementation. I specialize in stepping into organizations crunched for time and resources to tackle the projects that need to get done.
I’ve managed multi-million dollar federal grants and led cross-functional teams, and my favorite part of the work is still the same: being the person who figures out the tricky parts. I’m an advocate for clear processes, data-informed decisions, and not over-complicating things just for the sake of it.
I received my Master of Public Administration degree from the University of South Dakota, and I am a Project Management Institute certified project management professional (PMP).
